Nassau County home inspector
Home inspections in Nassau County
Capes, high ranches, colonials and split-levels from Valley Stream to Massapequa. Long Island houses have their own patterns: oil heat, cesspools, finished basements and decades of additions.

What Long Island houses need
- Heating: many Nassau homes still run on oil, or converted to gas and left the old tank behind. We inspect the boiler or furnace and flag tank questions.
- Waste systems: parts of Nassau aren't on municipal sewer. Cesspools and septic systems need their own specialist inspection, and we'll tell you when the house shows signs of one.
- Additions and dormers: decades of expansions, sometimes without permits. We look at how the roofs tie together, and at the framing and electrical in the newer sections.
- South Shore flood exposure: in Freeport, Baldwin, Oceanside and Massapequa, we pay extra attention to past flooding and mechanical equipment placement.
